My teaching style is:
I often push my clients through their perceived limits. No matter the age or the fitness level.
Note: I always do it through progressions and thorough guidance
Why do I do that?
1) Our bodies are capable of doing incredible things. Many times I see people being hesitant or even scared to explore their full range of motion. I see potential in every single person I work with. I also know that having a strong and flexible body helps us to go through our everyday simple tasks with much more ease. This is just a physical aspect of staying active and doing the poses you have never done before.
2) When we change the architecture of the body, we get benefits such as proper oxygenation through the body, proper bone structure, and we increase the capacity of the lungs by expanding the ribcage. That all supports productivity during the day. Think about how much we sit and how we sit.
Why should we do Pilates? BECAUSE IT WORKS!
Pilates (originally called Contrology) brings the body, mind, and spirit into perfect sync! It’s a way to help the body move more naturally—building rhythm, coordination, and strength over time. Think about how smoothly animals like cats move....Pilates taps into that same natural flow.
As we get older, our bodies tend to lose some of that natural flexibility and strength. Muscles can weaken, skin loses elasticity, and our posture can suffer, often from too much sitting and not enough movement.
Pilates helps reverse these effects by restoring balance and strength throughout the body. It’s about correcting posture, boosting energy, and reprogramming those old habits. That’s no matter the age or current fitness level.
The sessions are good for anyone, who:
would like to start practicing Pilates, but doesn’t know how to start
has been practicing Pilates somewhere else and would like some extra push and a better understanding of the method
has been doing other sports activities and would like to learn a bit more about how the body works and how to use the body efficiently to achieve the goals
has a sedentary job and the posture needs a bit more attention
What are the sessions about:
Correct breathing when exercising or doing any activities, such as walking, running, sitting, etc... we will look into it
Core strengthening - A strong core is behind almost every move we make. It supports good posture, balance, and stability, helping with lifting weights and standing tall. Whether running, lifting, or hauling groceries, the core is doing the heavy lifting. Plus, building core strength can ease back pain and increase endurance.
Posture correction - Backaches, slumped shoulders, or that "stuck" feeling from sitting too long? Sounds familiar? Pilates isn’t just about building strength. It’s about helping us move better, stand taller, and feel more balanced. Through targeted exercises, Pilates focuses on realigning your posture and building core stability, which supports a healthy spine and reduces unnecessary strain on your body.
Fascia release - Fascia is like our body’s secret support system, holding everything together. Picture it as a stretchy web wrapping around our muscles, bones, and organs, keeping them connected and working smoothly. When fascia is healthy and flexible, we feel loose and mobile, but when it gets tight, it can cause stiffness and even pain. That’s why targeted stretching, foam rolling, and gentle movement are so important.
